While there is a decrease in corona cases in India, the figures in Maharashtra are worrisome. There have been 721 new cases of infection in Mumbai during the last 24 hours. In addition, 4000 people were fined for not wearing masks. On Wednesday, Kovid-19 infection has been found in 4787 people across the state, which is the highest in one day this year. Due to the increasing number of cases here, lockdown is expected to be imposed.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray warned on Tuesday, "People have become careless. It is up to the people whether they want a lockdown or live with fewer restrictions.''
State Health Department said that the total cases have increased to 20,76,093. The department said in a statement that the maximum number of cases has increased in Amravati where 82 cases were reported on Tuesday, while their number increased to 230 on Wednesday.

The statement said that 40 infected people died due to Coronavirus, after which the death toll has reached 51,631. It states that 3853 patients have been discharged from different hospitals during the day. After this, the number of people who have become infection-free has increased to 19,85,261.
He informed that 38,013 people are undergoing treatment for infection in the state. This is the eighth consecutive day when more than three thousand new cases have occurred in a single day. This indicates more spread of infection than in the past few weeks. Mumbai once again has the highest number of 721 cases in the state.
The official said that there were 1237 new cases in the Mumbai division and 12 people died, after which the death toll has reached 19,724. Mumbai division consists of Mumbai and suburban areas. The death toll in Mumbai is 11,428.
