The Information and Broadcasting Minister Kapil Sibal inaugurated the data center of the Department of Posts in Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City (DAKC), Navi Mumbai. Explain that the work of the data center is to secure the data contained in the server of the postal department. The address of transitions occurring all over India through the post office will also be immediately known through the data center. Due to the availability of centralization, any person can use the core banking facility, insurance policy, ATM, etc. through mobile or internet in the post office.
After inaugurating the data center, Sibal expressed happiness that we want to transform the Department of Posts into a postal bank. For this, we are trying to convince the Finance Ministry. But, someway remains to be done for this.
