But when the lockdown was imposed due to the increasing cases of Covid in Maharashtra, the shooting of 'Indian Idol' was shifted to Daman for a few days and all three Neha, Vishal, and Himesh refused to go. After which, Anu Malik and Manoj Muntashir are seen judging the show.
Neha and Himesh were seen in an episode in between, but Vishal is yet to return to the show reports that he will not return this season. Vishal has categorically refused to return this season in a conversation with the website. The music director has said, 'Not until this quasi lockdown goes on'.

After his sudden disappearance from the show, when the fans started worrying about Vishal, the singer shared a post on his Instagram saying that he is completely fine and why he did not agree to go to Daman. Vishal shared a photo on his Instagram in which he was seen showing his body.
With this photo, the music director told that he is fine and isolate. But he lives with his parents, so shooting elsewhere and coming back from there can be risky for him, so he has not gone to Daman to shoot for 'Indian Idol'.
