After launching in the US, Twitter is launching the Tip Jar service in India. This facility will support users to send and receive money. To enable transactions for users in India, Twitter has integrated Indian payment gateway RazorPay with its Tip Jar feature.
Twitter will not take commission:
Twitter has also introduced some other direct payment features for the platform this year. Earlier, the company had told that it is testing a feature called Tip Jar. Under this, users get the facility to pay creators directly on Twitter by clicking on the dollar bill icon given on their profile. Twitter says that it does not take any commission from tip jar payments.
Service started for select users:
For now, the company has started this service only for certain users who can get tips by turning on Tip Jar. This tip jar option can be easily seen next to their profile. Some journalists, creators, experts, public figures and community leaders have been given this provision so far.
