The story of The Empire comes from the pages of author Alex Rutherford's book Empire of the Mughals - Raiders from the North.
The show is produced by Nikhil Advani and directed by Mitakshara Kumar. Mitakshara has been assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
In India, there is often a debate about the Mughal Empire. The clash of ideologies on this issue has been seen in social media for some time now.
In a recent interview, director Kabir Khan fueled the debate by saying that the Mughals had made a significant contribution to nation building.
Coincidentally, amidst this debate, a new show titled The Empire on Disney Plus Hotstar is coming out on August 27, based on the life and battles of Zahiruddin Muhammad Babar, the founder of the Mughal Empire in India.
However, the makers are calling the show a history-inspired fiction, but Babur's name and the history of medieval India are enough to arouse interest in it.
According to the information, the story of The Empire has come from the pages of the book of Emperor Alex Rutherford, Empire of the Mughals - Raiders from the North.
The show is produced by Nikhil Advani and directed by Mitakshara Kumar. Mitakshara has been assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Let us know what is special about this show-
The most important thing about The Empire show is that it will tell about the period of Babur, when he was not the king of the Mughal Empire and his life was made difficult by Shaibani Khan.
As shown in the trailer, crossing Shaibani Khan was not Babar's bus. Kunal Kapoor is playing the role of Babar, while Dino Morea is playing the role of Shaibani Khan.
The show will also shed light on the crucial role of female characters in running the regime. Shabana Azmi is in the role of Babar's grandmother Begum Esan Daulat, while Drishti Dhami is playing the role of Babur's sister Khanzada. This is the digital debut of both Shabana and Drishti.

One of the features of The Empire is its production. The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes. Much of the show was shot in Uzbekistan, where Babur's father, Omar Sheikh, ruled. The show features many of the finest scenes of elephant-horse and sword fighting.
There is a good chance that VFX will also be used in this show, because in the period of history that this show takes, the scenes of forts, palaces and war are not possible without VFX. The Empire has 10 episodes. This is probably the first Indian historical fiction show on digital platforms to be made on such a large scale.
