Business software firm Freshworks Inc made a roaring entry on the US exchange Nasdaq on Wednesday.
At the same time, the company made 500 of its employees millionaires. Of these, 69 are under 30 years of age. It is India's first Software Edge Service (SaaS) and Unicorn to be listed on Nasdaq.
Shares of this company of Girish Mathrubhootam entered the Nasdaq index at a premium of 21 per cent from their issue price. At the same time, the company's market cap reached over 12 billion.
Mathrubhutam said in an interview which company has not only paved the way for another Indian SaaS startup to go public but has also made a lot of money for its employees with listings in the stock market.

In an earlier interview, he said that he had not started Freshworks to buy a BMW for himself but wanted to get a BMW for all his employees.
500 employees made millionaires
He said that with the publicization of Freshworks, 500 employees of the company have become millionaires, out of which 69 are under 30 years of age. Two-thirds of FreshWorks employees are shareholders.
Mathrubhutam, co-founder and CEO of the company, said those who worked hard day and night to build the company should be rewarded. More than 500 of our employees in India will become millionaires. Of these, 69 are under 30 years of age.
Mathrubhutam attributed the company's success to all its employees, saying that the sector has a market of 120 120 billion and his company has just started exploring this possibility.
He said, 'I thank the staff for their contribution. I believe that it is not just my role to create Freshworks, we are building it together. '
Regarding listing the company in the US instead of India, he said that Freshworks has been a global company from the very beginning. Its customers are in more than 120 countries and most of its revenue comes from the US.
