Bipin Rawat Helicopter Crash: At least 13 people have been killed in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu.
Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat and his wife were in the helicopter. Rawat was admitted to the hospital but no further details were given.
Coonoor: Important details have come to light about the crash of an Air Force helicopter at Coonoor in Tamil Nadu. The helicopter was carrying 14 people, including Defence Chief Bipin Rawat , his wife and other officers.
According to ANI, 13 of them have died and the bodies will be identified through DNA tests . ANI has given this news quoting sources.
Bipin Rawat was injured in the helicopter crash and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. No details have been released about the hospital where Rawat is being treated or his condition.
A total of 14 people were reported in the helicopter. Five of them died and two of the injured were in critical condition, said Tamil Nadu Forest Minister K.S. It was given by Ramachandran.

Ramachandran gave this information after entering the spot. Since then, ANI has quoted sources as saying that 13 people have been killed in the accident.
The helicopter crash killed 13 of the 14 people on board and a DNA test will be conducted to identify the dead, sources said, according to ANI. Therefore, it has become clear that the names of the dead will come to light only after the DNA test.
Meanwhile, Bipin Rawat arrived at Sulur on a special flight from Delhi Airport at 8.47 am today. After arriving at 11.34 a.m., he was flown to Wellington by a Mi-17 Air Force helicopter.
He was on his way to an event at Staff College in Wellington. However, after leaving Sulur at 11.48 am, his helicopter lost contact at 12.22 pm and soon after the news of the helicopter crash hit. The country has been stunned by this tragedy. Prayers are being offered for Rawat's health.
